An exclusive selection of high-end properties in the “heart of the island”, as the central region of Mallorca is also called, has been convincing an international clientele of buyers for over 18 years. The authentic character of the area, stretching from the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains to Es Pla, is just one of many arguments in favour of buying or building in and around Santa Maria. Marked by agriculture, a mild climate and a panorama of untouched nature and the mountains, shoppers will find a relaxed break from metropolitan life here. Nevertheless, the region offers all the modern conveniences for a second home, such as a good infrastructure, a direct connection to the capital Palma, a variety of international schools and kindergartens in the immediate vicinity and numerous shops, boutique hotels, restaurants and bars. Our sales area includes the picturesque towns of Algaida, Sa Coma Bunyola, Bunyola, Consell, Marratxi, Portol, Momuiri, Pina, Randa, Santa Eugenia, Santa Maria, Puntiro, S’Artanjassa and Son Gual.
As a property owner in Santa Maria, enjoy the proximity to the capital and get to know the Mallorcan culture in the Balearic Museum. Taste delicious wines in the most important wine region of Mallorca in one of the historic cellars or celebrate at the wine festival in Binissalem. Reach for the stars at Mallorca’s only observatory in Costitx or take flight at the Son Bonet airfield.
As you can see, the list of benefits for your sale, long-term rental, new development, or purchase of an imposing rustic house, a rural villa, a modern apartment or a family home in the center of the island is long. What are you waiting for?
According to our market analysis, prices for high quality properties in and around Santa Maria will increase this year
In recent years, the price level has remained stable throughout the central region of Mallorca, but due to the growing infrastructure and increased demand for exclusive properties in the popular area of Santa Maria, the mountain villages of Alaró and Montuiri with a fantastic view of the valley and around the towns of Bunyola and Algaida will see price increases for houses, villas, rustic houses and apartments this year. This makes cities like Binissalem, Santa Eugènia and Consell increasingly attractive for property or plot purchases. The most affordable average prices for luxury rustic houses, villas, single family homes and apartments can currently be found in the golfer’s paradise of Algaida and in the dynamic cities of Palmanyola and Son Ferriol, all of which border on Palma and the International Airport.
At present, the real estate market is being led by modern “rural estates” in the more rural regions, which are designed externally in the traditional architectural style, but are modern on the interior. Further information on the area and the current real estate market can be found in our Engel & Völkers Mallorca Market Report 2017/18.
