It is one of those timeless seaside communities where everyone is familiar gathering for a chat on the shores at various times of the day, have a boat and just want to slow down and enjoy the elements. The shoreline is a mix of rocks, sand and Chrystal clear waters, the entire area enjoys spectacular views across the bay to Formentor and the water is perfect for various water sports but especially kite surf. Far from general tourism with just a couple of hotels, the beach has no sunbed or beach umbrellas, however, there are a small supermarket plus a few bars, and the location is easily accessible with parking. Charmingly traditional, Barcares is a really special destination.
