Orient: Location and surroundings of this property
The picturesque village of Orient is set in one of the greenest areas of Mallorca, in the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, a natural heritage of the Unesco, and with a landscape abundant in pines, oaks, extensive olive groves and fruit trees. It belongs to the municipality of Bunyola. The village sits in the heart of the valley, surrounded by peace and tranquility, and is comprised of narrow streets, small steps and houses with stone façades. The main attraction of Orient are the beautiful surroundings. Hiking through the landscape, one can come across stunning settings, such as the Puig d'Alaró or the Serra d'Alfàbia. History lovers will enjoy visiting the beautiful church of Sant Jordi and the original public wash houses, which were preserved on the outskirts of Orient. The village has two restaurants, one Majorcan and one Mediterranean. One can spend overnight at any of the two hotels inside the village or at one of the two rural hotels on the outskirts. It's certainly a destination for those seeking peace in a privileged location, yet with the possibility to be within reach of the beautiful beaches on the island or to visit the lively city.
