Cala d'Or, the "golden bay", is a community of about 4,000 inhabitants in the Migjorn region, located just 60 kilometers south of Palma. The nearest major city Santanyí is around 15 kilometers away. From the airport in Palma to Cala d‘Or takes about an hour's drive to Cala d'Or. The rugged cliff coast around Cala d'Or is broken by numerous small fine sandy bays - there is something for every taste. If you stroll through Cala d'Or, you will notice a clear difference to the usual resorts of Mallorca: the buildings usually have only two floors, everywhere the whitewashed facade captivates and pine trees line the streets.
