Sencelles is a municipality located in the centre of Mallorca and consists of several small villages, namely Biniali, the "Llogarets" of Ruberts, Jornets, Judi and Cascanar Laiar, all of which have a special charm for those who want to enjoy the rural and peaceful life. It has several grocery shops as well as restaurants and cafés, a pharmacy and a sports centre, among others. It has about 3,000 inhabitants and the weekly market is held every Wednesday. This part of Mallorca is part of the Binissalem Denomination of Origin wine region. You can find several wineries, such as the "Celler Can Ramis", where they produce and sell their own wine. You can also visit the winery of "Son Prim" and taste the wine made there. The village is famous for the statue of Sister Sor Francinaina Cicer, who was beatified in 1989. Some objects from her life are still preserved and can be visited in the house where she was born, the convent of the Sisters of Mercy (18th-19th century).
