Capdepera is a medieval citadel with a very particular charm. The placid town with a historical centre lies slightly above the sea and woos one with its well-preserved medieval fortress. Its characteristic traits include narrow streets, lovingly restored townhouses and the marketplace with restaurants and colourful day-to-day life. Capdepera has maintained its original charm and may be seen as the antithesis of the frequented tourist destination Cala Ratjada.
