This house has been recently restored and equipped with modern furniture and appliances. It is a pleasant private retreat on the outskirts of Pollensa, surrounded by a lush forest of holm oaks, orange orchards and a beautiful rocky garden with a great irregularly shaped swimming pool and a private tennis court. A little paradise a short bike ride from the center. Also the area offers great paths to walk through the valley, an area highly appreciated by hikers, ornithologists and nature lovers, given its great concentration of native fauna and flora. Built on one comfortable floor offers three double bedrooms, one with double bed and two twins. Two bathrooms with showers, one en suite. A living room with fireplace and plasma TV, with French windows access to the porch, an ideal place to eat or rest in privacy. The kitchen is well equipped with countertop and electric oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and everything you need to cook as a family. Outside there is also a gas barbecue next to the porch and a Ping pong table. A short walk takes us to the pool area with sun loungers, parasols, also some centuries-old holm oaks with romantic corners and the fabulous tennis court.

Location and surroundings of this property

The beautiful old town of Pollensa has a population of more than 16,000 and is part of the Municipality of Pollensa, that also includes Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente. The town is 6 km from the coast and 58 from the airport and the capital Palma de Mallorca. The old town is characterised by narrow streets and the old market square. The town has a medley of cafes, bars, eateries and small hotels. Pollensa offers a special insight into the Mediterranean lifestyle that has evolved over the centuries, it is a town with history that values its traditions and customs. In the early 1920s, Pollensa became a popular destination for famous painters, writers and musicians who visited the island. Today Pollensa continues to be important to the cultural and art worlds promoting and hosting concerts and exhibitions of relevance, such as the International Music Festival held during the summer months. The event calendar is busy in Pollensa the most notable occasions being the festivals of Sant Antoni in January the Easter celebrations and the week-long festivities of the patron saint ‘La Patrona Mare de Déu dels Àngels’ from the 26th July to and including the 2nd of August. Also well worth visiting is the wine fair in April and the Sunday markets held every week. Points of interest include the convent on the Puig de Maria, where there are fantastic 360º views and a great cafe, and if you book you can even sleep there for a small sum. There is a Roman Bridge, which probably is not Roman and the 365 steps of the Calvario, here too there is a great little cafe at the top to recover from the climb and relish the huge views to both the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.
