Wonderful country villa located near the Pollensa Golf Course and designed for full enjoyment of the good weather, the construction of this gorgeous house was well thought through with an intelligent design. The beautiful outdoors includes a colourful garden surrounding the house all in the midst of Mediterranean woodland featuring wild olive and pine and carob trees. Highlights include 250 sqm of fabulous travertine marble terraces and beautiful sandstone columns, Arabian roof tiles and traditional wooden beams contrast to perfection with modern interiors. Relish the avant-garde rustic flair and the many comfortable extras and luxurious furniture in spacious open plan areas filled with natural sunlight. Another little extra is the underground wine cellar filled with select wines and spirits that can be tasted on request. On the first floor is the master bedroom that has a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom on suite with both a shower and a bathtub. Three more double bedrooms are on the ground floor, two with twin beds and the third with a double bed. All have parquet flooring, reverse cycle air conditioning and central heating. The comfortable living dining room is large, bright and very welcoming after a long hard day by the pool, equipment includes satellite television, plasma screen, DVD, CD and Internet. A marvellous, modern kitchen with an island is brilliantly equipped with the latest appliances and there is a pantry and laundry area. Outdoors is a fantastic covered terrace perfect for eating outside and relaxing in the shade during the hottest hours, there is also a free standing, covered terrace with BBQ, summer kitchen and wood oven, the latter is brilliant for pizzas or many delicious specialities served in Majorca. The swimming pool is a particular jewel (12m x 5m) plus a cold Jacuzzi (3m x 3m) as well as a 5 cm shallow paddling area measuring 12m x 3m. Add to that large sun terraces with plenty of sun loungers, covered terrace with outdoor sofas for chilling next to the living room and beautiful exterior lighting and not forgetting a fenced pond with fish. This is a glorious and hugely inviting retreat for getting together for quality time and lots of fun with those that matter most.

Location and surroundings of this property

The beautiful old town of Pollensa has a population of more than 16,000 and is part of the Municipality of Pollensa, that also includes Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente. The town is 6 km from the coast and 58 from the airport and the capital Palma de Mallorca. The old town is characterised by narrow streets and the old market square. The town has a medley of cafes, bars, eateries and small hotels. Pollensa offers a special insight into the Mediterranean lifestyle that has evolved over the centuries, it is a town with history that values its traditions and customs. In the early 1920s, Pollensa became a popular destination for famous painters, writers and musicians who visited the island. Today Pollensa continues to be important to the cultural and art worlds promoting and hosting concerts and exhibitions of relevance, such as the International Music Festival held during the summer months. The event calendar is busy in Pollensa the most notable occasions being the festivals of Sant Antoni in January the Easter celebrations and the week-long festivities of the patron saint ‘La Patrona Mare de Déu dels Àngels’ from the 26th July to and including the 2nd of August. Also well worth visiting is the wine fair in April and the Sunday markets held every week. Points of interest include the convent on the Puig de Maria, where there are fantastic 360º views and a great cafe, and if you book you can even sleep there for a small sum. There is a Roman Bridge, which probably is not Roman and the 365 steps of the Calvario, here too there is a great little cafe at the top to recover from the climb and relish the huge views to both the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.
