Consell: Location and surroundings of this property
Consell is a small village located in the interior of the island near Binissalem, Alaró, Santa Eugenia and Santa María. It has a population of about 4.000 inhabitants. It is one of the richest villages in terms of agricultural production and is part of the Binissalem denomination of origin. The vineyard is the most important element of the municipality, it has an old winery called "Can Ribas" which is located in the town centre and is open to the public. In the municipality there are various estates including Es Rafal, Can Ribas, Son Coco, Son Puntiró and Sa Cabana, which have been converted into a magnificent Agroturismos. It is very well communicated by train and due to its proximity to the Palma - Alcúdia motorway. In its interior you can find restaurants such as the famous café es rústic, a small restaurant located in the heart of the village where you can enjoy Mediterranean style food.There are also several cafés, supermarkets and other shops. Very typical of this municipality is the antiques market called "El Rastro", which is held every Sunday in the industrial estate and has a large number of visitors. It is about 20 minutes from the airport, the centre of Palma and the beaches.
